Your Company has been around for years, so what have you done to build your business over time? You’re passionate about your product and want to connect with customers and make sure they know how much they can depend on you.
Why are you leaving a legacy at this Company? You like the Company’s culture and the opportunities available and want to ensure that those opportunities continue after you leave.
● Have you consistently met your sales goals?
The best way to get the answer from a hiring manager is by asking!
How would you describe your management style? You like working closely with other people, motivating them when they have low energy or are not as enthusiastic about their work as you are.
● How did your experience in sales affect your relationships with clients?
When you were selling carpet products, you could get to know many people and didn’t see that as a bad thing. Many customers were also interested in purchasing other products from your Company.
● Teach Me Something. What do you know about the industry that I don’t know?
You’ve worked in this industry for years, so you know a lot about it. But to make sure you’re valuable to your Company, it’s always good to brush up on some skills and learn new things. You might even find yourself able to come up with great ideas!
● How did you land your most successful sale?
The product you are selling may be easy to get and is not complicated. However, your goal is to ensure that you sell it in the best way possible. You have a lot of experience in sales, so you know how to present the product in the best way possible.
● What are your expectations for the interview?
This is a good question because it’ll give you an idea of what they’re looking for when they bring people in for interviews. You want to answer positively but not come off as overeager and encourage them to hire you.
